Yes...I know...we have been showing all winter. Just about every other weekend since November, we have been at a show. But...it's time for the grand finale... The Ohio Beef Expo!  Our favorite show of the year. Yes...our favorite because we are down right tired and just want to be done... But also our favorite...because this really is our favorite show of the year. The Ohio Beef Expo is where it all started for us and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. While we have met so many people along the way, the breeders we have met and shown with at the Ohio Beef Expo are truly the ones we call friends.  Maybe it is because it is our longest show of the season. Maybe its because we are so sleep deprived by the time we get home we can't think straight. Maybe it is just because we are on "vacation" with all our best friends for five days. Whatever the reason...it is exhausting... Frustrating... Exhilarating... Exciting... Relaxing... Stressful... Memorable... And just plain fun. And yes...we do experience all these emotions in just a few short days.  The show programs are done and we have just a few more details to wrap up before we start moving in. Daniel will be getting the cows and equipment all settled in on Wednesday morning. Thursday most everyone else will arrive and the fun will begin.  The schedule is different this year. In the past, the Miniature Hereford show has always been on Friday. Due to an increasingly full event schedule, our show has been moved to Saturday morning. Friday is going to be a day to roam the barns, chat with exhibitors and friends, shop the trade show (after I confiscate Daniel's credit card), tend to a few business matters and just enjoy the day.  There is going to be a silent auction on Friday... But you have better not bid against me! If you are around the barns on Friday, we will also be having a meeting for the Miniature Hereford breeders. If you are a breeder, but not showing, or if you are just interested in the breed, feel free to join us.  Come join us this week. Gather around the heater and visit with Miniature Hereford breeders.  Check out the cows for sale.  And of course... Watch all the action at the Miniature Hereford show on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. You might also like...
