We are a pretty practical family. For Christmas, I would much rather get a new doorknob for the pantry than something pretty. Each Christmas I try to find practical, useful gifts for my family instead of just buying something to fill a box. All year long I think "that would be great to get_____ for Christmas." Christmas comes around and I can't remember a single thing that I wanted to buy.
