Today is not just a day off work. Today is a day to remember and honor. Remember those who have fallen and honor those who served.  Just over a week ago, our family had the privilege of participating in a special event to honor some who served.
My dad and uncle both served in the Navy during Vietnam. They recently had the privilege of participating in an Honor Flight. I had known for a while that they were going, but I had no idea we would be involved.

Wow, this weekend was hot! It was a reminder that Memorial Day is just around the corner and summer is almost here. One more week of school. One last week to push through, stay inside and study for those exams. Then...summer will finally be here! Vacations, shorts, sandals....I can't wait!  I had to pull out the bug spray and the sunscreen this weekend...and the jeans were just too much.
All signs of good things to come. We had 4 days in a row without rain! And then it rained again... But in those 4 days, the ground did dry up enough that we were actually able to get out and about a little bit. Yep...that is one big pile of poop.
As a mom approaching Mother's Day, let me help you out and give you a little insight into what moms really want for Mother's Day.
I'm a farm mom. I am not high maintenance...or at least I don't think so...and I really don't want flowers. I know...I just burst a lot of bubbles.
