Yep. We love cattle panels. The plain $20.00...available at any farm supply store...cattle panels. Duct tape... Baler twine... Cattle panels... Every farm needs them. The more you look around, the more uses you will find for cattle panels. A little bit of scrap wood and a cattle panel make a great hay feeder. A couple of t-posts and a cattle panel convert any pole barn into a show barn with a separate stall for each cow. Green beans and cucumbers love to wind their way up the side of a cattle panel. The perfect foundation for a predator free chicken run. We have even been know to bend a cattle panel to form a very inexpensive hut to protect our cattle for the harsh winter weather. Or you can tie a short piece of cattle panel into a corner, cut out a hole, and you have your very own creep feeder. Cheap to buy, light to move, easy to store...waiting for their next job on the farm. Once you start using them, you will find more and more creative uses for your cattle panels. They are great to make emergency fence repairs and even fashion temporary barriers to help herd cattle into the barn or trailer. Duct tape... Baler twine... Cattle panels... Can't live without them. AuthorHello! I am Heather... the city girl turned mom to manure loving country boys. My husband and I both grew up in the city, but spent weekends visiting grandparents in the country. We are first generation farmers who learn best by almost always doing things the hard way. I hope you enjoy following along with our adventures down on the farm. Archives
