The last few weeks we have been able to slow down a little and spend some quality time together as a family. Walker got his first driving lesson in his Great Grandpa's old Willy's Jeep. This is the same Jeep that Daniel learned to drive in, so it holds very special memories in our family. Isaac has been out bow hunting. He saw a bunch of deer, but hasn't brought one home yet. He is feeling the pressure because he is watching the deer bologna supply dwindle. No deer, no lunch food. We are enjoying these moments because we know the calm will soon end. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and with it comes the start of show season. You can see the old foam seat that they have to use to reach the pedals. Walker can barely push the clutch, but at least he doesn't have to use the block of wood on the pedal like his Dad had to.

AuthorHello! I am Heather... the city girl turned mom to manure loving country boys. My husband and I both grew up in the city, but spent weekends visiting grandparents in the country. We are first generation farmers who learn best by almost always doing things the hard way. I hope you enjoy following along with our adventures down on the farm. Archives
