Walker celebrated a birthday this past week and I thought it would be fun to sit down with him and ask him a few questions about his life. As we are sitting on the back patio... Walker eating out of a box of vanilla wafers.... How old are you? Twelve. Do you feel different now that you are 12? Yeah. How do you feel different? I am a pre-teenager now and it just feels a lot different. What is your favorite color? Orange. What is your favorite subject in school? Science. What is your least favorite subject in school? Geography. What is your favorite food? Baby back ribs and bacon. What is one food that you hate? Clams. (I don't know when he had clams, but it wasn't when we were around) What do you like to do with your free time? Be around the cows, drive the tractor and shoot bows. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Out West. What is one thing you always get in trouble for? Fighting. Are you a messy kid or a neat kid? Messy. What do you want to do when you grow up? I want to be a farmer, but I don't know. No wait...a part-time farmer and I don't know what else. Are you going to go to college? I don't want to, but you are going to make me. What do you want to study in college? Animals...and vet stuff...and farming stuff. Who is your favorite cow? I would say Rain, but no...because she is mean now. Probably....Annabelle What is one thing your brother does that really annoys you? Picks on me. What scares you? Going out in the barn yard without a stick when Rachel is out there. If you don't know who Rachel is, you can read all about her here. What is something you have accomplished this year that you are really proud of? I got Grand Champion overall in the BEST for minis. What is one thing you want to accomplish as a twelve -year-old? Go to Denver and win at the National Western Stock Show. What kind of birthday cake did you have? A cheesecake cake. Twelve years ago, Walker was in a hurry to enter this world. Now...Walker is hardly ever in a hurry. We hear 'I want to" more often than "I can't". As much as I can't bear to have my baby grow up, it has been so fun watching Walker grow up. For all the challenges of this season, I am loving this pre-teen stage. Walker we love you... And, I am sorry you had to do hay on your birthday... Again. You might also like...
