This past year we have watched Isaac turn from just a teenage boy into a man. A very big part of me wants to hold on to him for forever, but when I look at him, I no longer see my little boy. He really is a man just biding his time...waiting for the next step in life. It makes me sad...but makes me glad at the same time... Isaac turns 17 tomorrow, so of course I had to sit him down for his annual question and answer session. Entering your junior year of high schohol, do you have any idea where you want to go to college? ATI (Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute). Something short and sweet. What do you want to study in college? Agriculture of some sort. What do you like to do in your free time...after homework and chores? I don't know...I never have free time around here...and that's the truth! What is your favorite TV show? When Calls the Heart. What is something I always say to you? Clean the kitchen. What makes you happy? Showing cows. What do you do when Mom and Dad aren't around? Work. If we lost everything we owned today but could keep three things, what would you pick and why? 1. My truck - so I can drive around. 2. A gun - so I can kill food and for protection. 3. Ammo - so I can use the gun. Of all the things you're learning, what do you think will be he most useful as an adult? Work ethic. If you could grow up to be famous what would you be famous for? First farmer to become rich. What is your greatest strength? Being a good showman. What is your greatest weakness? I'm scared of tornadoes. What product would you stockpile if you found out it wasn't going to be sold any more? Ammo. If you could set one rule for the family that we all have to follow, what would it be? Everybody has to serve me for a change. What is your favorite childhood memory? My 16th birthday party. Would you rather eat cake or ice cream? Ice cream cake. If you could ban one vegeteable for forever, what would it be? Cauliflower rice. If you could go anywhere, where would you go? Travel out West. Words cannot express how proud Dad and I are of what you have accomplished and who you have become. This year has been hard, but we have seen you push through when you thought you had nothing left to give, and you have accomplished some amazing things. Happy Birthday Isaac! You might also like...
