I Need Just a Little More

I have been busy lately...

Busy buying stuff.

School supplies, uniforms, books, pencils, pens, shoes...

All the stuff kids need for the first day of school.

Then...

They come home from the first day of school with one more item they need...

And then one more thing...

And then one last thing.

So, I have been busy at my computer ordering all these "things" on Amazon.  

Because we all know how much I love shopping in real stores.  

I fill my cart with all the "one last things" and I find I am just a few dollars short of the $25.00 minimum for free shipping (yes, I know shipping is free for Prime members...but I am too cheap to pay for a Prime membership).

But I got the greatest e-mail from Amazon recently.  It is a list of some of those inexpensive "filler" items that I can add to my cart to get to the minimum amount for free shipping.  So being the nice person that I am, I thought I would share some of my favorite "cheap" finds with you, so you don't have to stare at the computer trying to remember something you "need" to fill your cart.

Cows?

Do we like cows?

Well of course we want cow pillow covers for $3.62.

Or this feed sack pillow cover for $7.99

Or this one for $6.99.

O.K.  I will stop with the pillows now that you have enough for a pillow fight.

I accidently learned a long time ago that when we go out to a busy place, always make the boys wear bright hats.  

Why?

So you can see them in the crowd.

Think the fair, amusement parks, the zoo...

A bright hat sticks out like a sore thumb and you will see them coming a mile away.  

Unfortunately, winter is coming and the animals still need fed on those cold winter days. 

Chapped cheeks and lips are just a part of farm life, so stock up now on the good stuff.

Yes, please...

We need lots of these earbud cases.  

Does anyone else have a tangled web of earbuds on every table, in the car, in the bottom of your purse, on the floor and sometimes in the washing machine?

For $5.99 I think we will be buying a lot of these.

​I live in a house full of boys.

I don't know that it is appropriate in the bathroom right off the kitchen....but I can still want one.

Since I am surrounded by dirty men, it's ok to have some sweet smelling soap isn't it?

So you may be asking yourself why I am adding more "stuff" that I don't really need to my cart when I could just pay the shipping?

It's all psychological.

I will NOT pay for shipping.

It goes against everything I believe in.

So, if you are like me and just can't bring yourself to pay shipping, add a few fun things to your cart....and call it early Christmas shopping.
