I wasn't going to write about this. Everyone has their own dirt...why would you care about mine? I am a mom who works full-time, mother's teenagers, runs a farm, writes a blog and tries to find time to spend with my husband. I am also supposed to keep a clean house...but that is usually what goes by the wayside. What does it matter if I clean today? There will just be more dirt tomorrow. Except....I just found the perfect solution! This post contains affiliate links. We have talked many times about hiring someone to come in a help with some of the cleaning. I just haven't pulled the trigger. I don't know why...there is just this nagging feeling that I should be able to do it all. That Superwoman syndrome we all fight. Maybe it is just that I would have to clean up in order for the maid to come. But the bottom line is... I NEED HELP! I am not Superwoman. I can't do it all....and my house is not clean! I may be able to fool you...but don't look too closely...it really isn't good. My floors and my bathrooms are what really get me. I just hate doing them...so it doesn't take much to convince me not to. And then...I bought Rosie. Yes, we named our Roomba vacuum cleaner. We named her after the robotic vacuum maid on the Jestsons. What can I say? Rosie just sounds better than Roomba. I have known about Roombas for years...I had just always heard that they didn't do a very good job. Until, someone told me they do a good job...just won't completely replace your regular vacuum. That is all I needed to hear....and that I can program her to run every day while I am at work. So, in other words...Rosie the Roomba is my own personal maid who cleans my house while I am at work! Rosie arrived in the mail this week and I am not even going to tell you have much time we have spent just watching her wander around our house working her magic. You can find the exact model I bought here. I lover her! She works her magic and weaves her way through the house. Sometimes her path may seem illogical, but by the end of her run, she has hit almost all the spots. I have Rosie programed to run at 9:00 a.m. every morning. And when she is done, she returns to her base to charge and sends me this sweet little message. I can't even tell you how nice it is to come home to nice clean floors. No more hay. No more food under the cabinets. No more food in the living room from my teenagers that can't seem to find their mouths. No more chunks of...who knows what. Just coming home to clean floors makes the whole house feel cleaner. Every house should have a Roomba. Every woman in your life should have a Roomba. Every wife, mom, sister and best friend should have a Roomba. Some of you don't like to buy that special person in your life a practical gift. But let me tell you...every day when they get that message that the job is complete...they will say a little "I love you" to you. So make sure a Roomba is under your Christmas tree. I promise you will not regret it. Now...if I could just find a robot to clean my bathrooms... Roomba has no idea who I am. This is a product I bought with my own money and all opinions are my own.
