Every cat needs a barn... Or maybe it's every barn needs a cat. Either way.... Every farm needs a cat. I am not a cat lover. Maybe that is because I am allergic to cats... Or that growing up we had a really mean cat. But, despite my dislike... Cat's have a very important job to do around here. Catch lots and lots of mice! We got a cat from the shelter about two years ago and then had some kittens given to us. But, Bonnie, the cat from the shelter, was not friendly towards other cats. She ran off all the cats except old Miss Gray. Good ole Miss Gray is about 13 years old and the best mouser around... Even if she only has one eye. Unfortunately, Bonnie, the not so nice cat, died this week. Miss Gray is a great mouser... But that is a lot of work for one cat to do. We needed another cat for Miss Gray to train. We welcomed Paisley to our farm this week. She was very curious on the ride home. She is super friendly and has already learned to stay out in the barn and not come to the house. Even though.... We may need to bring her a little closer to the house because it has already been an active mouse year on the home front. The joys of an old house. Daisy and Paisley aren't exactly friends yet...but they aren't enemies either. Daisy just gets really jealous. Welcome home Paisley! Please make "friends" with the mice. You might also like...

Nice and simple with lots of cute cat pictures! It can be hard to determine which cat breeds will be the best for a life in barn, need to explore the different types.
