I have decided to start a new challenge for myself this year. On the 10th day of each month, I am going to take 10 pictures. I want to do this for several reasons.
On January 10, 2016... We had our first measurable snow of the year. Wish all that wood was in the basement. We started a fire for the first time this winter. This is the longest we have ever gone without a fire. It was nice having the warmer weather and not having to burn through the wood (especially since we only have about 1/3 of a normal winter's supply cut), but we sure are loving the cozy warm heat from the fire. I love Daisy...as long as she doesn't rub up against me after she has been rolling in the manure pile. I think Mitchell has something here. Not only is he inches away from his food, his entire head is protected from the cold wind. He is so comfortable that he doesn't even care that I am interrupting. Peek-a-boo Miss Dirty Face What would we do without tank heaters? There is nothing like Hereford hair... And snowy backs. After being out in the cold, there is nothing that I would rather do than curl up on the couch with a good book. You might also like...
