We spent Memorial Day weekend on vacation!
An actual vacation...that didn't involve any cows.
Complete with very sketchy phone service...that made it even more of a vacation.
We rented a houseboat at Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. We have been to Lake Cumberland twice before, but this is the first time we have been there since they finished repairs on the dam, and also the first time we have rented a houseboat.
The highlight of each evening was sitting around the table and watching a slideshow of all the pictures from the day. Instead of showing you all the beautiful pictures, I thought I would show you the pictures everyone kept asking to go back to.
The bloopers and action photos of the week.
Daniel is a really good skier. He has been doing it since he was a teenager.
The rest of us...we have ambitions...and we all learned something new this week.
A graceful landing...
And a not so graceful landing.
He makes himself sick just thinking about getting in the water. He doesn't like to ski. He doesn't like the new wakeboard. He won't have anything to do with the surf board.
I have double skied one time and it is SCARY!
Who knew that double wakeboarding would be what makes him smile and excites him to get out of bed in the morning?
The last time we were at Lake Cumberland, 76 Falls was completely dry. So glad we got to finally see what we have heard so much about.
We were away for just a few days, but those few days were an amazing reset. We may have scared a few people with our farmer's tans, but sometimes farmers need vacations too.
