Chester, a full-sized, full-blooded Hereford was welcomed to our farm on Sunday. We made the trip to Grassy Run Farm in West Virginia to pick him out. Isaac was a little overwhelmed by all the choices, but he did a good job of picking out a nice steer. He plans to start showing him in the BEST shows next month. As of tonight, Chester is officially halter broke! On his way back to the barn, Chester was introduced to our Miniature Hereford bull, Blue. I am sure glad there was an electric fence between them.

AuthorHello! I am Heather... the city girl turned mom to manure loving country boys. My husband and I both grew up in the city, but spent weekends visiting grandparents in the country. We are first generation farmers who learn best by almost always doing things the hard way. I hope you enjoy following along with our adventures down on the farm. Archives
